Plan performance reporting and the basis for BI infrastructure

Project Description

The objective of the project was to create automated reporting for monitoring and analyzing the completion of the company’s sales plan, including the possibility for year-on-year revenue comparisons, and to make it easily accessible to members of the board and leaders of the company’s organizational units. The report features a multi-level access control system, ensuring that users only have access to the data for which they are responsible.

concise reporting

At the beginning of our collaboration, we analyzed the existing reporting system, which involved a significant amount of manual work and the distribution of reports to its consumers via email. Gradually, we designed and implemented the automation of a unified reporting system, delivering updated data on a daily basis.

The solution is based on modern Azure cloud technology. We have built a data warehouse in Azure SQL, into which we integrate data from various data sources via Azure Data Factory. The data is transparently displayed in Power BI. We have thus laid the foundation for a robust and easily scalable BI solution that is already being extended with additional data inputs and reports.

„I studied actuary and financial mathematics, so I was very interested in the project from the beginning. Thanks to the latest BI technologies, we had the opportunity to lay the foundation for a modern solution that we will continue to develop together. I also appreciate the open and effective communication with the customer that helped built a reporting system that is actually being used.”

Satisfied Client

“Thanks to the new reporting system created on the Power BI platform in collaboration with Intecs, the top management and division managers of RESPECT branches have access to the latest results  of the entire company and individual units 24/7, from anywhere. This provided the company’s management with valuable information that it either did not have before or had with a significant time delay. This has significantly increased the transparency of the entire system of creating and evaluating the implementation of the plan. Reporting on plan execution has thus become an effective tool for top and middle management in operational management. The automation of reporting has substantially reduced the labour and time required to generate reports and increased the availability of the necessary information that is required for everyday decision-making.”
