Data Warehouse in Keboola? A challenge we are excited to accept!

Creating a Data Warehouse for Fourtop

We are currently working on the most difficult task in Keboola that we have ever done. It’s a challenge!

We were tasked to create a comprehensive, scalable Data Warehouse in Keboola for our new client Fourtop, which offers purpose-built data solutions for restaurants, including warehousing, reporting, automation, and even AI activation.

Currently, our biggest shared priority is building a set of extractors as large as possible for relevant business cases, so that data can be easily consolidated.

Let’s use an example:
The restaurant has two systems in which it combines customer orders. To these we need to add:

✔️ data from Delivery Service Providers like Wolt, UberEats, Foodora

✔️ the ability to compare and reconcile any accounting discrepancies.

How do we develop a Data warehouse at intecs?

The new Data Warehouse is designed to be used by multiple companies, as it is being developed in multiple locations at the same time and needs to be kept consistent.
We have dedicated an entire team for the realization of this Data Warehouse and they are actively consulting the project directly with Keboola.

However, Keboola does not have connectors for Point of Sales sources,  so colleagues at intecs program them on their own. To get access, we sometimes need to do a certification for the customer, demonstrate our knowledge to the data provider, or prove together with the Fourtop client that we will use the data in a meaningful way. The Data Warehouse is structured to support a holistic view of all of a restaurant’s data, allowing for cross-functional analysis and automation. Intecs has been working on two of the core business areas – order and labor. The Order model enables, among other things, the analysis of discounts and coupons. We also need to consider and work with different time zones, because Fourtop manages Data of restaurants across the U.S. At the same time, we are preparing a whole new model – processing of the accounting diary.

Fourtop is challenging not only because of the scale and complexity of the business, but also because it strives to get the most out of Keboola’s functionality. I am proud of my team for working together to build a Data Warehouse for Fourtop based on the customer’s requirements and needs.“

We believe that we will bring the project to a successful end thanks to the friendly and swift communication with both Fourtop and Keboola. We are currently enjoying new experiences with both Keboola  and understanding of foodservice systems.
