Connecting data sources into a single functional app
Project description
Our project assignment for Kompan was to ensure more efficient management of workforce data and optimization of capacity planning in the production process. The goal was to replace their excel files with a clear app and reports.

Initially, Kompan used shared excel files containing employee information in which managers manually created work plans. Each division had a slightly different methodology for this.
To simplify their work, we have developed an app that receives accurate data on the amount of work needed to be done on each day. This app allows to directly schedule workers to specific jobsites and deduct how much work each worker can handle.
By linking all data sources, all data is available in the app and database, providing detailed reports for executives and management. Managers can also create their own reports for further analysis and visualization based on the data model.

We approached intecs with a request to optimize the human capacity planning process. The existing solution was no longer efficient in terms of time and manual effort. Implementing a clear app with follow-up reports resulted in faster work with up-to-date and therefore more accurate data.
Managers no longer have to update several separate spreadsheets from different sources, but the data is available automatically and almost instantly.
Another benefit is the unified methodology of human capacity planning for the entire company and better transfer of information to other colleagues.
